Doge 8 is a pre-amplifier with 6 inputs. One switched input selects the integrated phono- stage. Three outputs are available.
Two RCA and one XLR balanced output is serial standard.
All control functions operate through microprocessor controlled gas contact relays with gold plated contacts. This results no loss of musical details at this important point. Doge 8 uses a finely matched ALPS potentiometer with a channel balance of less than 0.3 dB. The use of 1% metal film resistors together with the finest polypropylene capacitors with a minimal 1% tolerance in the phono- stage are standard for Doge 8

The integrated phono preamplifier is built to the same demanding standards as the main amplifier.
It is the finest, most tonally neutral tube phono section currently available, its design goal was to precisely track the prescribed RIAA equalization curves with absolute accuracy. Doge 8 reaches this goal with  0.2 dB. Its supremely quiet high gain circuitry has been designed with tubes for the MM section and JFET-’s for the MC- section, to deliver extra-ordinary performance for the broadest possible range of moving coil ( MC ) and moving magnetic ( MM )cartridges. The Doge 8 version represents a big step ahead, with its frequency range from 5Hz- 200 kHz and lowest distortion down to 0,0009 %, using double layer polypropylene capacitors, selected together with a tolerance of less  0.5 % as coupling capacitors. The finest custom manufactured and selected tubes provide Doge 8 with its characteristic sonic quality.
